Tom Ventura is a music instructor in Belfast, Maine and the founder of the Ventura School of Music. He has over 30 years of experience teaching music to children, teens, and adults throughout Waldo County.
Tom’s background includes studying and performing music in New York City, San Francisco, and Santa Fe before settling in midcoast Maine. He is a jazz pianist and multi-instrumentalist with experience in both live performance and studio work, which he draws on in his teaching. 
Lessons take place at the Ventura School of Music, located at the Crosby Center on Church Street in downtown Belfast. Tom offers music lessons that are tailored to each student’s interests and skill level, whether they are new to music or continuing their development.
The studio is designed to be a comfortable, supportive environment where students can explore different styles and instruments at their own pace. Many students choose to perform locally, while others focus on personal growth and enjoyment through music.
Tom’s approach to teaching emphasizes listening, curiosity, and steady progress. His goal is to help students build skills and confidence while making music a lasting part of their lives.
